Title of my Poem: "Surrender to Freedom"
[August 14, 1945, V-J Day, in New York's Time Square]

For so many glimpsed sunsets,
red lips had kissed
the skin of water
heartpound daring him
to win -
so now
at last embracing, triumphantly
it was he who swooned
surrendering into innocence.
