Since the whole drama with ex tropical cyclone Alfred there's been a sudden concern for homelessness here in Australia (which has always been around) and in one way it's a good thing because it's an issue that needs to be taken seriously and it needs to be addressed.
Unfortunately some people including some people from the church I still attend have decided to use it as a platform to not only air their opinions and perspectives but to also debate and argue with people who think differently therefore it's starting to cause division among Christians.
One woman who I have unfriended on Facebook falsely accused me of twisting her words when all I was trying to do was given a slightly different perspective...That will be the first and last time I'll say any more about this situation apart from what I've said below...
Every person who is born has a calling and they should fulfill in any way they can at any opportunity they get.
So many people are going on and on and on about homelessness right now and while I absolutely and wholeheartedly agree that it's a massive crisis that needs to be addressed before too long.
However there are other callings, groups and ministries that are equally important but in different ways.
Some are called to help and minister to the homeless but others like myself are called to other things.
Everyone will have a different opinion and perspective on the homelessness situation and nobody should be criticized, judged or condemned for that...
Nobody should be judged when they don't step up as some don't step up because God has called them to something else altogether.
Yes, we should help the homeless where and when we can but let's not forget the following groups...
π΄ War Veterans who have helped to obtain and enjoy the freedom we currently have.
π The elderly who have earned their dues, paved the way for us and now need our support as they continue to age.
π‘ People with disabilities who need support just live a "normal" life every day.
π’ People with mental health issues who struggle every day.
π΅ Children and teenagers who are trying to find their way in this messed up worldΒ
π£ Low income earners who are trying to their best to get by yet still struggle.
π€ DV survivors who have escaped an awful relationship or marriage.
β« Refugees who have had to escape from unimaginable horrors that we can't even begin to comprehend.
π΄ People in third world countries who are always without even the basics.
Everyone on this earth is fearfully and wonderfully made in His image even though some choose to reject Him, and He loves each and every person even if they don't love Him back.
Let's just do our part and not allow the enemy to get in and use the homelessness situation to create division among Christians.
Sadly I'm seeing the very beginnings of division among brethren and I for one don't want anything to do with it at all.
That is all...ππ»
