Disability Advocacy.
In a nutshell disability advocacy is essentially a process that involves an individual, group, organisation or another relevant professional providing support and advocacy to individuals with disabilities to assist them with understanding and asserting their rights, ensuring fair treatment, and promoting their inclusion, accessibility and participation in society
Disability advocacy is also a process where a relevant person gets involved to advocate for the rights of a person with a disability in cases where unfair treatment, inequality and unlawful discrimination have already taken place, etc and this is where the Disability Advocate will step in and attempt to make amendments to unfavorable situation either alongside or on behalf of a person with a disability.
