House

Posted by sawfan13

As ordinary as the title sounds, this is not for the weak or tender. This house that I apparently woke up in one day, has sent me into not a wonderland, but a horrific orgy of pain and madness.

Would you care about my near death experiences from this hell?

Would you like to know how I ended up here?

Alas, I am unsure. I just know that this madness is not within but all around me, as I tell you a tale that would freeze you blood cold.

I remember the night so clearly. All alone in my room, quiet and peaceful with the t.v on. I shut it off, as my eyes grew heavy. I drifted off into the darkness of slumber shortly after.

I had no idea. I had no idea that this would be my prison. All I know is, is that I'm stuck here forever.

I woke in a hallway, lying on the floor. I saw a staircase below me, and a dim light from the low ceiling above. There was a girl, much younger than me, sitting on the stairs. It looked like she was finger-painting the walls.

I slowly got up, as I looked at her hands. It wasn't paint. It was blood from a rabbit carcas. She didin't look at me or anything, the girl just sat, humming a happy tune, nonchantly. I asked her,"How did you get blood all over your pretty dress?" I waited and waited. No answer. She just kept painting the walls with blood.

As I walked downstairs, I found a sight even more horrific. Victorian-esc children, starving, skin and bones, chained to the floor. They were eating dead animals, covered in blood, savagely eating them. I ran out the door, only to fall in a dirty creek. The grass was quite green, except for some minor brown spots. I swam around a bit, until something caught my eye.

It looked thin and odd shapped. I didn't know what it was, until I started screaming.

It was a sketelton arm.

Bones and rib cages started surrounding me, until I lost my treading and started drowing.

Next thing I saw, was a person standing over me in a dark bedroom, with little sunlight coming out. They had on a Victorian dress and wore a big rabbit's head to hide underneath. It said,'Sleep well.' It put a rag over my mouth, as my darkness returned.

Wow! This is well-written and so vivid! Not nearly enough writing space here. Thank you so much for sharing. You could probably make a fortune out of writing such stories, if you wanted to. If it is off a real dream, I hope you don't have too many of them. Did you dream this because of things you had been reading? I know as a kid I became terrified by horror fairy tales which gave me nightmares or sleepless nights. I have my own kind of very vivid imagination!.... When I was late teens I wrote so many beautiful prose poems from my good dreams.
