A quick summary of my personal story

Posted by kph2293

I was diagnosed with high functioning autism when I was 22. Before that, I lived my life as an average person. As you can imagine, school was rather difficult. Some teachers/students were sympathetic to how I was, but most were not.

My parents were always aware of my quirks, but never suspected anything beyond that. This is largely because of my slightly younger brother who has more severe autism. Because of his condition, I look "normal" in comparison. But I do not hold a grudge against them; they've done everything for me, and are making sure now that I get the help I need.
