I'm going to be 59 in a week and a half, and I was just self-diagnosed autistic. It came as quite a shock. I've been attending school, and the director of the school was talking to me and asked me if I knew what neurodiversity meant. I told him I'd never heard of the term. Well, he explained it to me. After doing a bit of research of my own, I realized that yes, I am autistic.
Now that I understand why I've been single this long, I thought I might see if there might be someone out there for me. I've heard autistic women generally do better with autistic men, so here I am!
I came to Autistic Dating because I read a very good article about it online. I thought I'd give it a try. Please take a look at my profile, if you think we might be a good match, let me know. I'd love to hear from you.
If you're a woman, I'd love to hear from you too. There are not too many women on the spectrum, and I think we should be supportive of each other. Drop me a line.
Thanks, folks. I look forward to developing some good friendships.
